Participo en tres guerras a favor de la democracia: la Independencia de los Estados Unidos, la Revolucion Francesa, acontecimiento del que fue protagonista destacado, por lo que le fue otorgado el titulo de Heroe de la Revolucion, y las Guerras de Independencia Hispanoamericana. Sus ideas independentistas influyeron en destacados lideres de la Emancipacion como Simon Bolivar y Bernardo O'Higgins. Su nombre esta grabado en el Arco del Triunfo en Paris. Su retrato forma parte de la Galeria de los Personajes en el Palacio de Versalles; su estatua se encuentra frente a la del General Kellerman en el Campo de Valmy, Francia. / He was a Venezuelan general, regarded as a forerunner for the South American emancipation of the Spanish Empire. He was the creator of the idea of Colombia as a nation. He participated in three wars for democracy: Independence of the United States, the French Revolution, in which he was a prominent player, and for that was awarded the title Hero of the Revolution. His ideas influenced prominent separatist leaders as Simon Bolivar and Bernardo O'Higgins. His name is engraved on the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. His portrait is part of the Figure's Gallery at the Palace of Versailles; his statue is across from the General Kellerman in the Campo de Valmy, France.

Biograf�a de Sebasti�n Francisco de Miranda Rodr�guez (1750-1816) el m�s internacional de los americanos de su �poca, precursor de la independencia de las colonias espa�olas y padre de la idea de una Gran Colombia que aglutinara todos los virreinatos y capitan�as en una gran rep�blica latinoamericana, personaje inquieto por naturaleza, bibli�filo y lector compulsivo hombre que combati� como ninguno en su tiempo en tres continentes: Africa, Europa y Am�rica, contra el sult�n de Marruecos, contra los ingleses en la Guerra de Independencia de los Estados Unidos de Norteamerica, defendiendo la Revoluci�n Francesa y en los comienzos de las Guerras de Independencia de Hispanoamerica, conocedor en su gran periplo por el mundo a personajes tan dis�miles como fueron: George Washington, Lafayette, Catalina la Grande, Napol�on Bonaparta, Federico II de Prusia, Sim�n Bolivar y O'Higgins entre otros, pele� bajo distintas banderas y estandartes pero siempre defendiendo un ideal, un ideal que para cuando se materializ� sinti� en carne propia lo que sientes la mayor�a de los idealistas de coraz�n, la indiferencia de muchos, la incomprensi�n de unos pocos y la traici�n de los m�s allegados a la causa cuando m�s se les necesita.
