Nothing special

This book is all right. There are a number of errors (we were given extra credit in my class for finding them), at least 2-4 per chapter. They also have adopted some slightly confusing notation by departing from the standard Hardy-Weinberg p^2 + 2pq + q^2 = 1 notation, instead opting for F(sub)A, which just results in wordier (albeit fancier looking) equations.
Chapter order is also quite strange. Selection is not presented until halfway through the book. I learned more by reading "A primer of population biology" by Wilson and Bossert, that book was written in the '70s!
